A couple of weeks ago a friend reached out to me regarding a company called Acteva.
Because he knows I’m involved with some non-profit groups, he wanted to bring to my attention the allegedly fraudulent and suspicious business practices of the company, particularly in regards to their failure to pay non-profits the monies owed in a timely manner… or, as it turns out, EVER.
All I can say is, WOW!
He decided to embark on a cursory investigation into Acteva, their business practices and complaint history with the BBB. He was so outraged by their behavior, he decided to publish his findings for all the world to see at ActevaSucks.info. I must admit, when I first heard the story, I wondered if the claims made by the businesses & organizations filing the BBB complaints could possibly be true. The allegations against them seem so preposterous that it seems unlikely that Acteva could possibly remain in business if there were even a shred of truth to the claims.
He was skeptical of the claims against Acteva, as well… until he dug a little deeper. What he found paints a picture of fraud, criminal theft, failure to honor contracts and general douchebaggary that rivals even the most unapologetic snake oil salesmen. Needless to say, they’ve placed the target on their own backs. And it’s time for all their victims to take aim at the bullseye.
Here’s a short excerpt from my friend’s original post, from ActevaSucks.info:
The other day I was talking with a friend of mine when they brought up a story that, quite honestly, I didn’t believe at first. They said they knew a “legitimate” company that owed their company $50,000! I decided to do my own research and was, at first, shocked to discover that the company has a hidden secret: while their website promotes them as an amazing resource for business owners who require event planning, their reviews, even the reviews by their own employees, say something quite different.

How is Acteva Still In Business?
That’s a great question. And one that seems to baffle anyone who learns of the allegations against Acteva. While this is pure speculation on my part, their most egregious offenses seem to target non-profits specifically. Why? Because they know non-profit organizations are among those least likely to have the financial and manpower resources to pursue legal action against them. What a bunch of unconscionable and unscrupulous douchebags, right?!?
Believe it or not, despite numerous BBB complaints against Acteva (53, as of today) that resulted in their accreditation being REVOKED, threats of legal action and demands for a full investigation by the District Attorney in San Francisco and California Attorney General’s office, employees and representatives of Acteva would rather call people names and mock their spelling than address their fraudulent business practices and pay those to whom they owe tens of thousands of dollars even a fraction of the outstanding balances.
Victims of Acteva UNITE!
You can learn more about the business practices of Acteva, review my friend’s findings & details of the complaints being lodged against Acteva and stay up to date on the ongoing criminal investigations & imminent lawsuits against Acteva by visiting ActevaSucks.info.
If you know of any business or not-for-profit organization that has been victimized by Acteva, I encourage you to direct them to Acteva Sucks. My friend is working tirelessly to bring together all those who are owed money to help them organize, share their experiences and band together to demand action from California state authorities and, if necessary, file a class action lawsuit in order to recoup the money they’re owed and prevent Acteva from continuing to defraud businesses and charities from coast-to-coast.
Acteva has gotten away with this for a LONG time – mostly because, in my opinion, they target those least likely to be able to invest the time, money, effort and resources into pursuing legal action against them and bringing their apparent PONZI scheme crashing down. But Acteva’s victims have a new-found strength and power in unity. Together they can accomplish what they may not have been able to alone. And I wish them all the best of luck!
